April 26, 2011: Date with Some Great Friends!

Being on maternity leave for the second time has been made extra special by having a number of friends off at the same time! In our group of friends from SFU, three of us were due to have babies within a 4 month span and were all due to have boys.

Maria was born last August, Jacob was born on Feb.14, Hudson was born to Chad and Carlene on March 20 and Keith and Gina actually ended up having their little boy, Luca, on this very date making the newest additions all close to a month apart!

Brita and Carlene and their little ones came out to Langley (since Gina was a little busy giving birth!) and we enjoyed some sushi, chatted and had a great walk.

I had to snap some pictures of Maria while Brita ran out to get the sushi because she was just too cute not to capture on camera. Here are my favs!

After Ben woke up from his nap and we were full of sushi, we took a walk to the park.



I'm looking forward to our monthly get-togethers and am excited to have baby Luca and Gina join us next month. I feel so incredibly blessed by these women and their friendship over more than a decade and can't wait to walk through these new stages of life together.
